The McDonnell Rangeswest of Alice Springs are not really desert country, as you can see from this shot by Janice Hughes, taken August 2008. There were squillions of dramatic sights along the Larapinta Trail; this is just one that I like.
When I'm not being a librarian, or singing, or directing a mob of singers, or burying my nose in a good book, or writing my own stuff, or contemplating what excellent things I could be doing and not doing them - then, dear reader, I am probably BUSHWALKING. There's so much exploring to be done, and as I hurtle towards my own extinction with alarming speed I'm spending a fair bit of time planning, then executing, the next adventure.
